Passionate about development, management, and moderation on the internet ; to make tomorrow a better world!
Hello! My name is Jolan, I am a motivated student and helpful in any project I may be involved in.
Since I was a child I have always had a computer; and today thanks to this I have been able to develop a wide range of skills in different fields related to the digital/web.
During all this time, I had the chance to create or participate in different projects really enriching.
September 2022 - April 2023
Being part of a great, professional and dynamic team has given me a lot. In this project, I touch a little bit of everything, and I like to get my hands dirty. I moderate the game community, guide them, and translate the gameplay from English to French. Despite the game's downfall for a number of reasons, I've learnt from our mistakes.
May 2022 - August 2023
Watching this SME grow has been, for me, a great success. I accompanied them from the beginning, to test their products and give them feedback, until the end of their start. Today, they are only trying to expand their circle of trainings, which is a great success.
February 2021 - January 2024 đź’™
I've been able to evolve with the project, always coming up with new things. From Community Manager & Moderator to Developer then Project Manager. I've discovered a whole range of tools like Docker, Git, etc., but I've also learnt how to animate and manage a Discord community.
February 2021 - March 2022
Being "Co-Founder" of Anobo France (New French social network web: Getting closer to what we think, regardless of what we are) it allowed me to better understand how a social network system works, but also to develop skills in marketing and communication to create a deployment strategy.
December 2021 - January 2022
As a technical support volunteer at NovaHost (a web/games server host), this experience has been enriching to learn more about "how a server works" and more generally "how the Internet works".
June 2020 - August 2021
Having been a volunteer moderator for Bobbax Hotel (a virtual world "game"; where we can chat, meet, new people) taught me as much humanly/personally as professionally; moderating this kind of game is very heavy, which allowed me to take on myself and be more calm/patient, and also to know how to deal with certain types of people different from each other.
July 2020 - May 2023
In this Discord bot project, with many twists and turns, my role was to promote the bot named "Meliodas" being very useful for Discord server founders with its multi-function commands. I also had to do the support assistance and then the complete guidance of the project.
April 2020 - October 2020
Avinity was a community of serious former Garry's Mod players who want to offer an exclusive and unusual gaming experience to the French community on different game modes. My role as moderator on this project allowed me to give my best to offer players an enjoyable gaming experience. We were N°1 of Garry's mod mini-game servers in 2019.
August 2020 - December 2020
A short adventure, that felt so long.. We wanted to offer a new roleplay mode exclusive to the one already known on Garry's mod, created from scratch by ourselves, for an exclusive, fluid, and quality experience. It was not a success to our expectations, but no regrets, because the feedback was very positive, but the acquisition of new players not so good, being very conservative and lack of means for marketing. We fought for this project, without any concrete result. At the beginning moderator, then Community Manager and Social Media Manager to arrive at the position of co-founder, my main missions were to manage partners, players, events, and communication. I must say that the working conditions were not really top notch, this experience marked me.
October 2019 - December 2019
My participation in this WebTV was very short, but intense. We had to create this structure from scratch on Twitch with a very limited budget. My aim was to come up with new ideas for shows, recruit a new team and streamers. I learnt a lot about the behind-the-scenes aspects of managing shows on the Twitch streaming platform, as well as the mistakes to avoid making in the future.
June 2018 - July 2020
With a very strong presence in the world of video games, this experience has taught me a lot. Particularly about Garry's mod and the Steam group. I had to prove myself from nothing (or very little).
Unfortunately I can't put all my current/former projects that I participated or created; the list is way too long. In short; Mobile Interface Design, Marketing, Community Management, Staff Management, Moderation Manager, ...

École Supérieure du Digital will enable me to develop my web project management skills and to enjoy a truly unique experience with other students.

Followed by a "classic" curriculum in a general class with specializations in digital sciences, English literature, and economic and social sciences.

Followed by a normal French curriculum.
Regularly using games and web servers (Plesk, cPanel, Pterodactyl, ..) I had several times the opportunity to "tweak" computer servers and thus develop skills in network architecture.
Using Visual Studio Code, I often create - code websites (portfolios, small local business websites, internet project websites, ...) and code little projects in Javascript & C#.
Using Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, I am able to create a graphic charter for a project and apply it to the brand's image.
Using Adobe XD and Figma, I was able to design web interfaces on several occasions (mobile app design, website design, ...), having learned "visual communication techniques" and "UI/UX design" on the job.
I love to give advice, and teach others my knowledge; I am also a very good speaker.
I'm able to create 3D models objects and spaces (for virtual worlds).

An idea for a project? Need one of my presentations? Or just want to say hello? Don't hesitate, I'm open to any proposal!
